Professor at Universidad Tecnologica Nacional, Santa Fe, Argentina. Member of the National Scientific Research Council of Argentina. Received his BS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina. Post-doctoral fellow from from 1994-1996 at the Chemical Engineering Dept., Carnegie Mellon University, working with the research group of Dr. Ignacio Grossmann. Since then he has participated in several cooperation research project, including the LogMIP code. His research interest areas are: Process System Engineering - Mathematical, Disjunctive and Logic Programming - Information System Engineering - Database Technology.

Rudolph R. and Florence Dean University Professor of Chemical Engineering, and former Department Head at Carnegie Mellon University. He obtained his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, in 1974, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College in 1975 and 1977, respectively.
